Update: the situation about the Ukrainina shipment we sent off from here last December.
As the devastation continues and the war goes on in Ukraine the humanitarian need is growing daily. So far the destruction is overwhelming especially in the East part of the country where the fighting is the hardest. As a result people are hurt and dying in large numbers as they are caught in the middst of the conflict. Many try to leave but it is not easy either as the dangers are everywhere. The good news is that there are still many people and organizations still remaining in the country ot help. One of them is called the Loads of Love in Kiev with missionary Ed Dickson at the helm. Together with his team of dedicated helpers brother Ed is providing a valuable support to the people as they are going out with supplies every day to areas most affected by the conflict. Please pray for these people. Also, please pray for our latest shipment to Ukraine. It was sent from here in late December but due to the conflict it never made it to Odessa for off loading. Instead it was directed to the city of Istanbul in Turkey while the situation was being assessed. Now we have just learnt that the ship will sail to the city of Constanta in Romania on Monday. And from there we are now arranging for the shipment to be transported to Kiev in Ukraine via the border town of Siret in Romania. This is a large shipment containing both food, clothing and medical supplies all of which is greatly needed right now. We have also secured another shipment to go from Canada very soon with more supplies of food from the Gleaners Organization in Medicine Hat. Please pray for both of these shipments that they will go well. We´re also securing more supplies from Europe as they are closer. Please consider supporting us as you think of the situation in Ukraine right now. You can donate directly on line or we will also accept checks and e-transfers and if you identify your donation by the words „help for Ukraine“ then we will make sure that all of it goes to that cause. Thank you all for your support.
